Safety Academy for Construction Seminars: Faculty

Faculty: Each faculty member is a working professional with current knowledge and insight in the subjects and skills they teach.
	Jack Castello, Director of the Academy, is a Registered Professional Safety Engineer. Jack has intimate knowledge of safety systems and their impact on the workplace. He brings this knowledge and experience to the classroom in a creative and challenging manner.
	Paul Hayes is a private safety consultant. He is a credentialed Occupational Health and Safety Technologist. In addition, he holds a California teacher’s credential. His 30+ years of experience in training and safety combined with his knowledge of curriculum development make him a valuable addition to the academy faculty.
Bob Downey has more than 30 years experience in safety including construction, insurance, electronics, nuclear plants and associations. He served as an adjunct professor in the graduate program in Safety for the University of Southern California. Bob holds a Master’s Degree from Golden Gate University and is a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers.
Ray Lyon is a veteran of the California Dept. of Forestry. His intimate knowledge of forestry/outdoor environments and the tools and equipment used there make him an excellent teacher.
